With a wealth of academic and industry experience, I am well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of today’s organizations. My analytical skills and research capabilities enable me to develop and execute data-driven plans that empower businesses to solve complex problems in the 21st century.
As an Assistant Professor of Accounting, I taught undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, auditing, and business. I have also held numerous accounting and management positions in various industries, including CEO level general manager, CFO, international accounting manager, audit assistant, and chief accountant.
I have earned multiple degrees, including a research doctorate in business administration with a focus on accounting, four master’s degrees, an undergraduate degree with a major in accounting, and various industry-relevant certifications.
My published articles in practitioner journals cover a range of topics including corporate governance, enterprise risk management, business strategy, talent management, and cybersecurity collaboration, providing valuable insights and advice to boards, executive management, and audit executives
I have been recognized for my success in leading turnaround efforts for companies in different industries. In one instance, I oversaw the marketing, sales, and international distribution of a multi-purpose adhesive product line, which enabled the parent company to become the largest manufacturer in the industry from a single location.
I also provided valuable contributions to the growth of a privately held global logistics and domestic transportation services company. Despite facing challenges related to inefficient accounting practices due to multiple software conversions, inadequately trained personnel, and several mergers, I helped the company overcome these obstacles and improve its capability for growth.
I am proud to have received the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) doctoral dissertation award for my research study on accounting in internal auditing. This award is highly competitive and typically only one dissertation is selected annually from applicants worldwide, making it a significant achievement in my academic career.
